A champagne performance on Saturday, undoubtedly inspired by the presence of so many Old Boy legends, saw the First XV blow away St Edmunds to just leave a powerful Villanova this weekend in the pursuit of Ash’s first UNDEFEATED season in a decade.
It will be a nerve wracking week for the boys with so much history and expectation. However, Old Boy, Wallaby and one of Ashgrove’s most successful ever coaches, Barry Honan, took some time out from catching up with his talented 1977 team to provide some guidance to captain, Emosi Tuqiri, and vice captain, Jaz Day. Barry, who coached some of Ash’s immortal sides, was impressed with what he saw and joined with the OBA in wishing them the very best this Saturday at Tingalpa.
