It seems we had only just finished celebrating his amazing 1500 metres gold at the Commonwealth Games.
OB Sam Short was drawn against the current Olympic champion in the final of the 400m Freestyle at the World Championships in Japan. But that was not going to stop our man.
Sam then proceeded to swim the 4th fastest time in history (3:40.60) to take the gold by 0.1 seconds. Congratulations to Sam.
We can hardly wait for Paris 2024.
