The Old Boys Association was greatly saddened to learn of the passing of our beloved colleague and friend, Greg Dux (1964).
An incredibly gifted sportsman, Greg held the unique honour of being the only Ashgrovian selected in the ‘Team of the Century’ in both Rugby (prop) and Cricket (swing bowler). Simply extraordinary !
But beyond all of that, Gregory Lawrence Dux was forever an Ashgrove man – bred in the Marist tradition and loyal to all those who knew him. Greg possessed a great love for our College and all that it stands for. He was a regular attendee over the years at Old Boy functions.
All Old Boys send our sincere condolences to Sue, Greg’s beloved wife of 49 years, and to his daughter, Jane and son, Paul and to their extended families.
Greg’s funeral will be held next Friday, 25th June at 10.30 a.m. at Mary Immaculate Church, 31 Edmund Rice Dr, Ashmore 4214.
May Mother Mary and St Marcellin Champagnat welcome Greg home. May perpetual light shine upon him. Viriliter Age !
