The Old Boys’ Association pays tribute on the recent passing of our esteemed OB, David Jackson AM KC (1958).
Universally acknowledged as Australia’s greatest appellate and constitutional barrister, there are few major decisions of the High Court of Australia in the least 40 years which did not feature D.F Jackson QC appearing for one of the parties.
The legal world is currently honouring David’s brilliance and intellect but what is also frequently mentioned by those who knew him best is his sense of humour and those Marist hallmarks of Simplicity, Modesty and Humility. A loyal Old Boy and an Ashgrove Man always.
The Old Boys pass on their condolences to David’s wife, Monica and to their daughters Catherine, Dominique and Louise and their extended families.
May our Mother Mary and St Marcellin Champagnat welcome David home.
