NOW A DECADE ON FROM THE PASSING OF OUR ABSOLUTE BEDROCK OF THE BOARDING HOUSE

There was overwhelming sadness in our close knit community in late December 2010 when word reached Ashgrove that the mercurial Tim Baldwin, defender of all things boarding, had passed suddenly while on holiday in North America. Just far too young.

Deeply loved and respected by all in the Marist Ashgrove Family, Tim’s great passion was to make (or perhaps the better word is ‘demand’), the boarding houses be just as strong, and as Marist, as they could be. The dining room is now proudly named for Tim and bears a plaque honouring his unmatched contribution.

The Boarders, the Old Boys and the whole of the Marist College Ashgrove family still miss your presence and energy Great Man ! Viriliter Age !
