The Old Boys’ Association announces, with the greatest of sadness, the passing of our beloved member, Mr John Mines (1948), who attended at both Rosalie and Ashgrove.
John was part of the College’s formative years when our very ethos was enshrined for the decades ahead. John, Ashgrove’s greatest ever high jumper, was followed by younger brother David (1959) and then honoured the Old Boy tradition by sending son Anthony (1986) and then grandson Angus (2020) to the College.
All Old Boys send their condolences to the extended Mines family.
John’s Funeral Mass will be held at Mater Dei Church at St John’s Wood next Thursday, 16 June 2022 at 11am. His Burial Ceremony will be at Dunwich Cemetery, North Stradbroke Island, on 17 June 2022 at 12.30 pm.
May our Mother Mary and St Marcellin Champagnat welcome John home.
