And so it is no surprise that Old Boy and former teacher, Michael Bauer (1972), has been awarded the extremely prestigious Dame Annabelle Rankin Award for Distinguished Services to Children’s Literature. An award presented only every two years and only to the very, very best. Michael has previously been awarded the CBCA Book of the Year Award in the early Childhood in 2018 and, in 2019, the Prime Minister’s Award for Young Adult literature in 2019.
