The 1990 Ashgrove v Joeys clash was just full of superstars including those who went on to represent their State and/or Australia: Bond, Graham, D Herbert, Connor and Flanagan (Ashgrove) and Burke, Jorgenson and Kellaher (Joeys). These two superb teams absolutely played themselves to a standstill resulting in a 13 All draw.Fast forward 32 years and young Tom Howard and Tobias Graham took to the field against the current Joeys crop and mirrored their Dads by grinding out a 12 All draw. Just an amazing coincidence. Time will tell as to how many from both schools go on to greater honours.Congratulations to our 2022 lads in upholding the tradition !
