ASHGROVE’S FIRST ORDAINED PRIEST IN 40 YEARS TO RETURN FOR VINTAGE LUNCH

With the greatest of pride, the Old Boys Association announces that Thomas Zaranzki (OB 2003) took his final vows on Friday 29th June, 2018 at St Stephen’s Cathedral before the Archbishop of Brisbane, the Most Reverend Mark Coleridge.

Tom, qualified as a teacher, brings with him a wealth of life experience with several degrees and past employment with Queensland Treasury and the Brisbane City Council. Tom entered the Holy Spirit Seminary at Banyo in February 2012, became a Deacon on 10th November 2017 before being ordained to the Presbyterate last Friday week.

Always quick off the mark, the OBA has booked Father Zaranski for an early return. A proud Ashgrovian, Tom will be back at the College on Friday 17th August 2018 to celebrate Mass in advance of the annual Vintage Blue and Gold Lunch.

The Vintage Lunch is always a complete sell out. If any Old Boy of Ashgrove or Rosalie up until 1978 (including wives and family) wishes to attend the Lunch, please email the Vice President as soon as possible on caseyp@marash.qld.edu.au
