There is no more high pressure match for a modern day First XV then Old Boys Sports Day when the legends from 40, 50, 60 and 70 years ago return to the College. Trying to play at the highest level when under the gaze of the greats of yesteryear can never be easy.
This year saw 16 of the legendary 1983 First XV undefeated premiers in attendance – a team who had the rare distinction of NEVER having their line crossed during the entire TAS competition. Although possessing schoolboy stars and outstanding attacking players of the future, it was their defensive strength, time and time again, which secured what was just a remarkable premiership.
